BMW Ran Red Light In Crash That Hospitalized EMTs In Elizabeth: Authorities

A BMW that ran a red light struck an ambulance, sending two EMTs and a passenger in the vehicle to the hospital over the weekend in Elizabeth, authorities and sources said.

The ambulance had a green light to cross Spring Street at Fairmount Avenue when it was struck by the BMS that ran the red light around 3:10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 6, city spokesperson Ruby Contreras said.

The BMW driver was issued a summons.
