Teens Dump Drinks On Store Clerk In Bayonne Robbery, Police Say

Two juveniles from Jersey City attacked a convenience store clerk during a robbery Monday night, Lt. Eric Amato of the Bayonne Police Department said in a statement. 

A 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl entered the 7-Eleven at 765 Broadway around 9 p.m. and began placing merchandise in bags they'd brought in with them, the clerk later told police. When the clerk approached the two, the boy shoved him as the girl hit him in the face with an open hand. 

The two then emptied their drinks on the clerk before leaving the store, police said. 

The clerk called police, who found the teens at 36th Street and Avenue E. The two were found with items taken from the store and both were identified by the clerk, Amato said. 

The two have been charged with robbery The case has been referred to juvenile court, Amato also said.
