Robbers Enter Newark Pharmacy, Demand 'Oxy' At Gunpoint: Police

Newark police are looking for two men (pictured) in connection with an armed robbery in the North Ward Tuesday.

They entered a pharmacy at 654 Mt. Prospect Ave. around 3:40 p.m. and pulled masks down over their faces. One of the men drew a gun and demanded "Oxy 30," a painkiller. 

The two left with narcotics and cash, headed south on Mt. Prospect and turned towards Elwood Avenue, where they entered an older black two-door Honda Civic and drove off. The car was last seen heading south on Clifton Avenue.   

Both suspects are black. The suspect who pulled the gun is described as six feet tall with a dark complexion. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, torn blue jeans and white sneakers. 

The other suspect is 5'10" with a medium complexion. He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt over a white shirt, dark shorts, black sneakers and a dark-colored ski mask.
