Update: Girl Who Went Missing In Newark Found Safe

UPDATE: The child was found safe later in the morning Monday, Nov. 18, police said. Original story is below:

Police in Newark are looking for an 8-year-old girl who was dropped off to school Monday when the school was closed. 

Corren Lewis was dropped off at Belmont Runyon School on Belmont Runyon Way at 8:15 a.m. by a member of her family. Her family has not seen her since 

She is described at 4’2” tall and 78 lbs. with a light brown complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. Corren, who has her hair in ponytail and braids in the back, was last seen wearing a black shiny coat, navy blue pants, black boots and carrying a purple unicorn book bag.

While police are actively searching for Corren, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating her so she can be returned to her family.
