A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened after a fatal crash on Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 23.
The closure, which began just before 1 p.m., was westbound at Exit 46 in Woodbury. The lanes remain closed during the accident investigation into late in the afternoon before reopening.
The northbound Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway exit to the LIE westbound was also closed.
