Nonprofit youth and high school sports coaches from throughout the United States may be nominated. All they need do is "embody the ideals of striving to win while also pursuing the more important goal of teaching life lessons through sports," the organization says.
The award includes $200, recognition in the alliance's website, newsletters and media campaigns and the chance to accept the honor in California during the alliance's National Youth Sports Awards Dinner and Auction, in an event presented by Deloitte.
The Positive Coaching Alliance is a national nonprofit developing “Better Athletes, Better People” by working to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience.
