Ridgewood boy, 8, says man in restaurant bathroom said, ‘Come with me.’

In another in a series of attempted luring reports, an 8-year-old boy told police a man in a restaurant bathroom tapped him on the shoulder and said: “Come with me.”
Ridgewood police rushed to the Daily Treat Restaurant at 177 East Ridgewood Ave. just before 2 p.m. yesterday but couldn’t find anyone in the area who matched the description given by the boy:

  • dark skinned;
  • 6 feet tall;
  • brown hair;
  • black, button-down shirt;
  • blue jeans;
  • gray work boots;
  • carrying a black visor-type motorcycle helmet.

Anyone with information that could in any of these instances is asked to immediately call local police.
