Drug Raid: Heroin, Crystal Meth, Cocaine Found In Hackensack Man's Apartment, Cops Say

A Hackensack man is behind bars after police say he was caught with large amounts of heroin and meth just steps from a public park.

Jhoan Ferreira-Diaz, 42, was arrested on Thursday, April 3, after police served a Superior Court search warrant at an apartment near Atlantic Street Park in Hackensack, according to Chief Michael Antista.

Inside the apartment, detectives found "more than five ounces of heroin individually packaged for street level narcotic sales, more than seven ounces of crystal methamphetamine, a quantity of cocaine, and drug paraphernalia used in the manufacturing and distribution of the narcotics," police said.

Ferreira-Diaz was charged with narcotics distribution of more than five ounces of heroin, narcotics distribution of more than five ounces of crystal methamphetamine, and possession of both drugs with intent to distribute them within 500 feet of a park, according to police. 

He was taken to Bergen County Jail pending his initial appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
