Garfield Schools Offers Gang, Drug Awareness Talk

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Guest speakers from "Steered Straight" will talk about gang and drug awareness at Garfield Middle School Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The 6:30 p.m. event for parents and friends will cover positive and realistic ways to talk to children about gangs and drugs.

Steered Straight is committed to providing real-life, motivational messages about substance use and abuse, gang involvement and bullying, its website says.

Free childcare will be available and light refreshments will be provided by the PBA Local #46 Reilly Family.

Garfield Middle School is located at 175 Lanza Ave.
