The first shooting occurred on the 700 block of Lehigh Street around 10:30 p.m., Lehigh County Coroner Eric D. Minnich said.

A 13-year-old child and a 43-year-old woman were injured while a 29-year-old man, identified as Erik Mondragon, was pronounced dead about two hours later, authorities said.

Mondragon's manner of death has been classified as a homicide after an autopsy found that he was killed by a gunshot wound to the body, Minnich said Tuesday.

About 45 minutes later, a second shooting was reported approximately two miles away near Liberty Street and Fifth Street, though no additional details have been released, according to WFMZ.

Mondragon's death is being investigated by the Allentown Police Department, the Lehigh County Homicide Task Force and the District Attorney of Lehigh County.
