Lodi Police: Bike Safety Day Coming

LODI, N.J. -- The Lodi Police Department wants to remind the public that its Lodi Police Bike Safety Day will be on Saturday, May 21.

Early birds can receive free bike helmets at this year's event.

The first 100 Lodi participant of grammar-school age will receive a free bike helmet. Parents: bring proof of residency.

Some of the event's features include bike and hoverboard safety instruction, theft precautions and techniques, and instructional videos and demos.

The rain or shine event will be from 10 a.m. to noon, in the main lot of Lodi Police Headquarters. Call Sgt. Anthony Mobilio at 973-473-7600, ext. 8126, for more information.
