Lodi Fire Department Honors 50-Year Veterans

LODI, N.J. -- The Lodi Fire Department honored Firefighter Al Luna and the late ex-Chief Joe Ciolino for 50 years of "dedicated service to the residents."

Luna has been a captain, lieutenant, president, vice president and trustte with the volunteer company.

Ciolino, 76, who died on June 1, also worked for the Lodi DPW. His wife, Joanne, accepted the honor.

The department thanked both men at a Nov. 22 awards ceremony for "all the time, effort and excellent service" over half a century.
