GARFIELD, N.J. -- Garfield police arrested a 32-year-old Clifton man who they said robbed a local bank on Tuesday.
Harun Arslan, 32, was being held on $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail.
Arslan is the man seen in surveillance video released after he passed a threatening note to a teller and fled with $3,250 in cash from the Clifton Savings Bank on Palisade Avenue just before 5 p.m., Lt. Richard Uram said Thursday.
Detective Sgt. Joseph Delaney and Detective Marc Amos arrested Arslan on Wednesday, thanks to evidence developed with the Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification, Uram said.
They recovered $1,600 in loot and "several articles of clothing used during the robbery" from Uram's home, he said.
The detectives charged him with robbery and making terroristic threats.
