Joy McCracken Of Wyckoff Dies At 62

WYCKOFF, N.J. – Joy McCracken of Wyckoff died on Thursday, January 18, surrounded by family. She was 62.

Joy was born in Paterson and lived in Midland Park before moving to Wyckoff 32 years ago.

She was a member of the Wyckoff Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 25 years and had served as secretary. She was also a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Wyckoff.

Joy is survived by her loving husband Kevin, her children: Heather and her husband Michael Peer of Glen Rock, Beth and her husband Dan Haboob and Daniel McCracken, all of Wyckoff, three grandchildren: George and Charlie Peer, and Johanna Haboob. Joy is also survived by her mother, Johanna Parker, her siblings: Donald Parker, Jill Van Der Werf and Susan Beaver and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father George Parker in 2003.

Visiting hours for family and friends are Tuesday, January 23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. There will be a private funeral service for the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joy’s memory can be made to the Cornerstone Christian Church, 495 Wyckoff Ave, Wyckoff, NJ 07481.
