Francesca 'Frances' Bordonaro, 82, Of Garfield

GARFIELD, N.J. -- Francesca "Frances" Bordonaro, of Garfield, died Nov. 18. She was 82.

Born in Partinico, Italy, she lived there for 20 years and Argentina for five years before settling in Garfield 57 years ago. 

She was a machine operator for more than 30 years with Marcal Paper Company in Elmwood Park, retiring in 1997. She was a member of the AFL-CIO union. She was a parishioner and member of the Sacred Heart Society at Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield and a member of the Immaculate Conception Prayer Group at St. Joseph’s Church in Lodi. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank. 

She is survived by her children, Joseph Bordonaro and wife Donna and Anthony Vito Bordonaro; grandchildren, Frank Michael and wife Michelle, Nikki Marie, Joseph, Toni Marie and Atturo; great-grandchildren, Abigal Grace and Emma; and siblings, Salvatore, Giacchina, Girolama and Eleanora Pilato. 

Visiting will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the Aloia Funeral Home, 180 Harrison Ave. The funeral is Tuesday, arriving at the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. followed by a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church in Garfield. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
