Garfield YMCA Offers Lifeguard Certification

GARFIELD, N.J. -- The Garfield YMCA will offer a lifeguard certification class, starting Thursday, Feb. 25.

Applicants must be 15 or older. A swimming test will be conducted from 8-9 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24. There's a $10 cost to take the test.

Lifeguard classes will be from 7-9:30 p.m. Thursdays until April 28,at 490 Midland Ave. The classes cost $275 for members, $325 for non-members. For recertification, the cost is $175.
