Lindsey Giannini will read a passage from the children's classic, whose actual title is "Alice's Adventure in Wonderland," at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

She'll also give a talk, followed by a question-and-answer section with the audience, and sign autographs.

Library Director Siobhan Koch called Giannini is a good role model.

"She's apparently a very personable person," Koch said. "We are very much hoping that it will be something people enjoy."

Giannini, a Hammonton native, attends Rowan University and studies broadcast journalism. She carries a 3.9 GPA and won the Rowan University Trustee Scholarship and the President’s Education Award for Academic Excellence.

She also promotes a campaign against texting while driving, which Koch said would be a good message for the audience at the Lodi Memorial Library.

Following Giannini's presentation, the audience will watch two iterations of "Alice in Wonderland" -- a short silent film followed by the Disney version. Refreshments will be served.

No registration is required, and Koch said residents of all ages are welcome.
