Catherine Reyes, 35, of Irvington, and Samantha Souffront, 36, of the Bronx, were taken into custody on Monday, April 14, after Closter police officers stopped two vehicles involved in what authorities described as suspicious activity, according to Chief James Buccola and Captain Vincent Aiello.
During the investigation, officers discovered multiple types of illegal narcotics, including LSD, Adderall, Oxycodone, Ecstasy, Crystal MDMA, Cocaine, and Ketamine.
Both women were charged with multiple narcotics distribution offenses, including possession with intent to distribute, police said.
Reyes and Souffront were remanded to the Bergen County Jail, made their first appearances in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, and were ordered released pending further court action, Aiello said.
The arrests were the result of what police called "diligent, proactive" patrol work.
