The 40-year-old bakery made the announcement via Facebook, saying, "It's been sweet."

Since 1982, it has operated a bakery at 300 E. Greentree Road in Marlton. Its Maple Shade bakery is located at 101 E. Main St.

Both will close on Sunday, June 19.

There was an outpouring of praise, support and sadness posted on social media. Hundreds of people commented and mentioned specific custom-made cakes baked for personal occasions like birthdays.

Theresa Lipp Maschke wrote: "I am heartbroken! We moved to Mount Laurel 16 years ago and this was one of our first 'regular spots.' Where on earth will we ever find good donuts?!"

Nicole Kraus said: " Nooo I am so so sad to read this! We love your creme donuts and bismarks and all of the cakes! You guys will be missed by myself and all my family and friends who love your goodies😢

And Kathleen Warren said, "You were my Father’s favorite bakery. He loved your sticky buns with raisins and walnuts. Without fail he would wrap up his last bite for later because he didn’t want it to be over and we always joked that they were precious."

Maria Frances added: "I’m literally crying!! Your chocolate frosted donuts were THEE BEST like I would eat a couple on the way home and still enjoy them at home too. SO sad! There will never be anything to compare."

And John Bradley said, "Best wishes in retirement, Randy! We were buddies in the 60s when I lived in Marlton. I’ve been a customer too and your baked goods are the best!❤️"

“We appreciate the support from all of you and have enjoyed being a part of your family gatherings and celebrations over the years. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts!” the bakeries' Facebook post said.
