Jan. 9 where musicians will perform to benefit Young Women’s Leadership Network. Closter Museum Displays Work Of Artists With Special Needs CRESSKILL, N.J. — The Belskie Museum in Closter is showcasing the work of artists who have special needs in “Arts Unbound” through Jan. 24. The majority of the 60 pieces in the show — made with an array of mediums — are for sale. Among them is the work of Andrew Weatherly, a 23-year-old Closter native who has Down’s Syndrome. “I started the program and loved it,” said Weatherly. “It’s acrylic. It’s all abstract. Franklin Lakes Library's Therapy Pets Program Returns FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J. — The Franklin Lakes Public Library PAWS Therapy Pets 2015 program took a short hiatus, but will return to the library on Mon. Jan. 11. The program gives children an opportunity to read aloud to a trained therapy dog, cat or pet rabbit in order to improve reading and communication skills in a non-judgmental environment. Cliffside Park Woman Raises Funds For Infant Cousin In Lebanon CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. — A Cliffside Park woman is raising money for her infant cousin in her native county, Lebanon, in hopes that he will survive surgeries for a heart defect. Elderly Driver's Sedan Barrels Into Two Cars, AutoZone Store In Fairview FAIRVIEW, N.J. — A sedan driven by a 90-something man sideswiped two cars before crashing into an AutoZone store in Fairview on Thursday. Three people were injured, none seriously, in the 1:15 p.m. crash, responders told Daily Voice. One customer said he was recharging his battery when he saw the black Chevy Impala careen into the Bergen Boulevard lot. “The driver was about 90 years old. Bogota Roadwork Expected To Create Detours BOGOTA, N.J. -- Roadwork in Bogota will begin Jan. 18 on River Road between Elm and West Shore avenues under the train trestle. Detours will be in effect as the roads are expected to be closed for an extended period of time. Officials wouldn't say how long the project will run.
