The Aviators would cruise to a 48-14 victory, going to 4-0 on the season. Quatrone was involved in six of the seven Aviator touchdowns.
Following a Saddle Brook punt, Quatrone hit wide receiver Jasiah Purdie on Heights' second offensive play for a 49-yard scoring play. Heights' defense got the Aviator offense on the field quickly, and with 5:25 left in the quarter, Quatrone hit tight end Philip Miller for a three-yard touchdown pass, and a 13-0 lead., Joey Giancaspro’s extra point made the score 14-0.
Following a Jordan Wexler sack on fourth down, Quatrone hit his third touchdown pass of the quarter to his third different receiver, as Philip Viola went 69 yards for a 20-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Quatrone continued the onslaught on the second quarter. Backed up to his own one-yard line, the senior quarterback went 99 yards for a 27-0 lead, with 10 minutes left in the half. Running back Johnny Iurato added a one-yard touchdown run to make the score 34-0, and Quatrone ended the scoring in the first half, with 40-yard run for a 41-0 halftime lead.
It is the second time this season the Aviators took a 41-0 lead into the halftime break.
Saddle Brook running back Brandon Johnson got the Falcons on the board in the third quarter, cutting the lead to 41-7, which brought the Heights starting offense back onto the field.
Quatrone then scored his third rushing touchdown of the day, a 3-yard run, with 5:16 left in the third quarter. Giancaspro, was 6-of-7 on extra points on the day, was good, giving Heights a 48-7 lead.
Sophomore running back Jakub Dmitruk scored from 19 yards for the game’s final score, cutting the lead to 48-14.
The win, coupled with St. Mary of Rutherford’s upset of Cresskill on Friday night, clinches first place in the Meadowlands Division for the Aviators. With two games remaining, hosting North Arlington (1-4) on Friday night, and at Ridgefield (0-4) the following Friday, the Aviators have the league’s best record but own the tie-breakers over every team behind them.
Quatrone rushed seven times for 196 yards and three touchdowns, while completing eight of 10 attempts for 162 and another three touchdowns. Iurato rushed eight times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Viola had two catches for 86 yards and a touchdown, while Purdie had three catches for 63 yards and a touchdown.
