FORT LEE, N.J. -- Port Authority police at the George Washington Bridge arrested a Pennsylvania driver who they said had a dealer's license plate reported stolen out of Orange County, N.Y.
Officers stopped 60-year-old Kevenne U. Parchment at the lower-level toll plaza Thursday morning because it didn't have a front license plate, the authority's Joseph Pentangelo said.
After discovering that Parchment didn't have a registration for the car, officers learned that the rear plate had been reported stolen from Heim Auto Auction in Newburgh, N.Y. in February 2016.
Parchment, of Tannersville, was processed and released pending a July 11 hearing in Municipal Court on charges of receiving stolen property and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
