Accomplished Palisades Park Sergeant Adds New Title: Editor-In-Chief Of Law Enforcement Mag

He’s had a distinguished career as a police officer, author and adjunct professor, and now Palisades Park Police Sgt. George Beck is the new Editor-In-Chief of Blue Magazine.

Beck’s “passion, intellect and abilities have continually impressed me,” wrote Daniel Del Valle, the CEO of Haledon-based Envisage Productions.

Beck, who grew up in Palisades Park, authored the books "The Killer Among Us," "Trounce: A Suspense Thriller" and "Images of America: Palisades Park."

He holds a Ph.D. in History & Culture from Drew University, a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, master’s in Administrative Science and a bachelor's from FDU, and an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bergen Community College.

He's also an adjunct professor at FDU and the College of Saint Elizabeth.

Beck joined Blue Magazine five years ago and "has led every phase of production like no other editor in the law enforcement profession," said Del Valle, who launched the magazine as part of his Envisage Productions company decade ago.

"His work on the local and national level is unmatched. He is the best in the business," Del Valle said. "There is no one more capable and deserving to lead this publication as editor-in-chief."
