Former S. Hackensack Crossing Guard Josephine Villanova Ulliana Dies At 90

SOUTH HACKENSACK, N.J. -- Josephine Villanova Ulliana, of South Hackensack, died on Friday, March 24. She was 90.

Before she retired, Ulliana worked at Ruffino Box Company of Hackensack. She also was a crossing guard for South Hackensack for many years. 

She was also a parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception of Hackensack. 

Ulliana is survived by her children, Nick Ulliana of South Hackensack, and Barbara Sullivan and her husband Thomas of Hasbrouck Heights; grandson Sonny Clem Ulliana; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband, Clemente Ulliana, and her siblings, Mary Perrelli, Angelo Villanova, Sara Daurio and Concetta Faustini. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, March 27, at G. Thomas Gentile Funeral Service, 397 Union St., in Hackensack. The funeral will be on Tuesday from the funeral home at 8:45 a.m., with a 10 a.m. mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 49 Vreeland Ave., in Hackensack. Burial will follow, at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
