LEONIA, N.J. -- Christie Heights St. will be closed to parking from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Wednesday for milling, in preparation of road resurfacing.
There will be no parking during this time. School drop-off and pick-up for the middle school will be one way from Broad into Christie Heights St. and then out Kingsley St. Homeowners will have access to their driveways all day, except for when construction equipment is operating directly in front of their houses.
The following Monday, the entire street will be closed for paving from 7 a.m. until approximately 5 p.m. Residents will have no access to driveways Monday until evening, so anyone who needs to use their cars during the day should plan alternate parking.This includes the condominium parking lot at Grand Ave. and Christie Heights St. Alternate-side parking will be suspended on both days on Hillcrest and Vreeland avenues to provide parking for affected residents.
Since Monday is a school holiday, parking also will be available at the high school.
