Palisades Park Resident Honored For Protecting Ospreys

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- In keeping with its mission is to promote and protect wildlife in its natural habitat by providing opportunities for observation and conservation, the Bergen County Audubon Society (BCAS) announced winners of the 7th annual Bergen County Audubon/Harold Feinberg Conservation Awards for 2016.

Palisade Park resident Jimmy Macaluso is the official volunteer monitor, gathering vital information on the Osprey nests in the Meadowlands region.

Wayne's Rich and Linda Greendyk, also known as “Mr. and Mrs. Bluebird,” have been instrumental in building, installing and monitoring Bluebird boxes in Ringwood and West Milford.

Based in Paramus, the BCAS awards are named in honor of Harold Feinberg, a long-time member, chairman, expert and supporter of the organization.

The awards will be presented at the Annual holiday party on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy, 20 Puffin Way, Teaneck.
