LEONIA, N.J. — Mixed media artist Paul Leibow of Leonia will have one of his films run in its first festival on Wednesday in New York City.
"Black Babylonian Beads" highlights tragedies in American and African history to present day. The idea is to raise awareness to help avoid such tragedies in the future, Fan Boy Film Festival's website says.
A documentary on Leibow's archival art ran in the Metropolitan Museum of Arts for 10 years in the 1990s, along with his works for books and exhibitions were selected by curators form the Whitney Museum and Met, the artist's website says.
The Fan Boy Film Festival is at 7 p.m., at the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (MoRus) in New York City.
