Now, five finalists are competing in our “DVlicious Best Craft Beer Bar in Bergen County” contest. Each is being profiled this week.

The Beer Spot & Grill, Fort Lee

Number of Craft Beers: Thirty on tap; 55 bottled and 10 kinds in cans. Among them: Melovino Berry Boku Mead (sweet and tart), Avery Barrel-Aged Series Pump(Ky)n 2016 (Bourbon barrel-aged pumpkin porter); Brix City Gloria (blonde ale made in Little Ferry), Brooklyn Quintaceratops (Belgian style beer with Caribbean rum), Epic Big Bad Baptist (Bourbon barrel-aged stout from Salt Lake City), and Two Roads/Evil Twin Geyser Gose, perhaps the most interesting one of all with Icelandic moss, rye, herbs, sea kelp, yogurt and birch-smoke sea salt.

Why It’s Liquid Gold: Yelpers say the selection is very impressive and if you’re lucky enough to get Dave, one of the servers, he can make excellent recommendations as you chill on the outdoor patio (weather permitting).

There are plenty of TVs for sports nights. The beer sampler is a must and so are its wings, juicy burgers and Irish nachos. Events are also a big part of what's on tap. On Oct. 28, there will be a tap takeover by Maryland's Flying Dog Brewery complete with free swag, and on Nov. 12 Ridgefield Park's own Bolero Snort Brewery will be in the house.
