FORT LEE, N.J. -- The life and times of Queen of Salsa Celia Cruz, who died in her Fort Lee home of a brain tumor in 2003, is being explored by Spanish-language network Telemundo in an 80-part series, the Washington Post reports.
The station began airing "Celia," on Tuesday, says the Washington Post, and the fictionalized story spans her 1925 Havana birth, to her death at age 77. It includes her performance at the 2002 Latin Grammys.
