'A Night For Makayla' Seeks New Wheels For Ailing Fair Lawn Girl

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — The public is invited to attend the fundraiser “A Night for Makayla” from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 at The Brownstone in Paterson.

The goal for "A Night for Makayla" is to is to purchase a new handicapped-accessible van for Makayla and her family.

The event is being coordinated in partnership by Fair Lawn Mayor John Cosgrove and Fair Lawn Patrol Officer Luis Vasquez and Fair Lawn Local PBA 67 and United Real Estate North Jersey.

Makayla is a bright girl who was born with Microcephaly Lissencephaly and other health issues. She will need care for the rest of her life. Money raised will go toward purchasing a wheelchair-accessible van for the family. The organizers are counting local businesses and the public to help change a little girl’s life.

The evening will offer an Italian multi-course dinner. In addition, it will feature a tricky tray, offering a variety of prizes from trips, event tickets, gift certificates, sports collectibles and more.
