15-Year-Old Leads Cops On Multi-State Chase Starting In Bergen County, Ends In Crash: Police
A 15-year-old from Pennsylvania led police on a high-speed multi-state chase from New Jersey into Rockland County in a stolen car before crashing into a tree on the Palisades Interstate Parkway, police said.
The pursuit began just after noon on Sunday, May 11, when troopers responded to a report of a vehicle being chased northbound on the parkway in the town of Clarkstown, New York State Police announced on Monday, May 12.

Charges have been filed against an 89-year-old driver in a crash that killed a 73-year-old woman outside HomeGoods in a Bergen County shopping center last week, authorities said.

Family, friends, and strangers across North Jersey are rallying around the loved ones of Michael Mendonca-Lopez, the 23-year-old motorcyclist killed in a Passaic County crash over the weekend.
A wake will be held for Lopez on Wednesday, April 30, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at August F. Schmidt Memorial Funeral Home in Elizabeth, according to his obituary. His memorial service will begin the following morning, Thursday, May 1 at 9 a.m., at the same location.

Several sheds, garages, and a car were destroyed in a stubborn, multiple-alarm fire Sunday afternoon, April 27 in Elmwood Park.
The fire broke out on Phillip Avenue, just east of River Drive, according to incident photographer Boyd A. Loving.
At least one two-car garage was completely consumed by flames, and multiple sheds and smaller garages sustained heavy damage, Loving said.
