Tired of thefts and vandalism on its Glen Rock property, PSE&G installed “No Trespassing” signs and a gate lock – that were all promptly stolen, police said.
The utility at first installed a gate secured with a chain and padlock that were taken from at the Highland Road entrance to its right-of-way, Police Chief Dean Ackermann said.
PSE&G secured the gate with an internal lock and added 'No Trespassing' that quickly vanished, the chief said.
An investigation was continuing, he said.
