FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- After climbing from one tree to another, a bear cub was brought down safely Friday morning in Fair Lawn.

Fair Lawn police, firefighters and DPW workers responded along with Tyco Animal Control and NJDEP Division of Fish & Wildlife to the scene at 18-00 Fair Lawn Avenue.

The 131½-pound bear was tranquilized and tagged for release into the wild.
