YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A robber passed a note and, without exchanging any words, fled on foot with $2,000 from the TD Bank on River Road in Fair Lawn this afternoon, police told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
The bandit walked in just before 2:15 and gave a teller a note “indicating a robbery,” Lt. Brian LaRosa said.
“Other than that, there was no other communication,” LaRosa told CLIFFVIEW PILOT. “There was no weapon shown or mentioned.”
He was described only as black, wearing a hooded sweatshirt and gloves.
Fair Lawn police are working the case with the FBI.
