Born and raised in the Bronx, Alessi was known for his mechanical building skills, gardening and baking. He also enjoyed photography. Prior to retiring, he was a machinist with Sealed Air Corp., in Fair Lawn, for 30 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Nancy Rotella and her husband Gennaro, and Luanne Szwast and husband Ed; and grandchildren Emily, Christopher and Lauren. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Wilde) Alessi.
Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Rd., in Fair Lawn.
