Frances (Trondle) Kurz, 73, Of Glen Rock

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- Frances (Trondle) Kurz, 73, of Glen Rock, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. 

Born and raised in Queens, N.Y., she resided in Glen Rock since 1975. 

A faithful parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock, she was a member of the Women’s Cornerstone Group. She also was a member of the Not So Newcomers Club of Glen Rock. 

A woman who will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh, she enjoyed gardening, watching Glen Rock football, anything by the water and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. 

Prior to retiring, she was a clerk and cashier with Glen Rock Medical Pharmacy. Previously, she was employed in the human resources department of AT&T, Continental Can Company and Walter Legge & Company. 

She was the wife of Robert Kurz; mother of Kathryn Steele and husband Kristopher, Elizabeth Kurz Berry and husband Christopher and James Walter Kurz; gandmother of Lucas, Emma, Henry and Dexter; daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Rut) Trondle; and sister of the late Walter Trondle. She also is survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. 

The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-8 p.m. Thursday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 S. Maple Ave., Glen Rock. Cremation will be private.
