FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Erwin F. Froehlick, a resident of Fair Lawn, died Friday, Jan.22. He was 89.
Froehlich was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of VFW Post 281 and the Happy Seniors, both in Fair Lawn. He was a self-employed house painter for many years before his retirement.
He is survived by his children, Betty MacDonalds and husband Dave and Pat Buff and husband Rich; grandchildren Kristen and TJ MacDonald; and sister Ella Grieco.
He was predeceased by his wife Eleanor and sister Frieda Bohlin.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn.
A funeral service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Wrightstown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory made to VFW Post 281, 33-02 Morlot Avenue, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 would be appreciated.
