FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Edward F. Callan Jr., a resident of Fair Lawn, died Sunday, Nov. 8. He was 82.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Fair Lawn for more than 50 years. He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. Prior to retiring, Callan was a pressman with the New York Pressman’s Union.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary (Burger) Callan; son, Edward Callan III; and sister, Muriel Anderson.
He is survived by his children, Caroline Petruccello and Tony, Laura Jean Buresch and Tom, Mary Beth and Robert Callan; sister, Jane Monahan; grandchildren, Jennifer, Brittany, Carly, Jacqueline, Anthony, and Kevin; and great-grandchildren, Nikolais, Sebastian, and Wyatt.
The funeral was Wednesday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn with Interment at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
