FAIR LAWN, N.J. -- Edward F. Callan, Jr. of Fair Lawn passed away on Sunday, Nov.8. He was 82.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., Callan resided in Fair Lawn for over 50 years. He was a parishioner of St. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Fair Lawn.
Prior to retiring, Mr. Callan was a pressman with the New York Pressman’s Union. Callan enjoyed boating, sailing, gardening and golfing in his spare time.
Callan was predeceased by his wife Mary (Burger) Callan; sister, Muriel Anderson and son, Edward Callan, III.
He is survived by children Caroline Petruccello and Tony, Laura Jean Buresch and Tom, Mary Beth and Robert Calla; sibling Jane Monahan; grand children Jennifer, Brittany, Carly, Jacqueline, Anthony, and Kevin; and great grandchildren Nikolais, Sebastian, and Wyatt.
The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. with a service following at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road in Fair Lawn.
Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
