That's what it took to free 3-month-old Jackson Walsh of Fair Lawn from cancer.
"We've all been dreaming about the day Jackson would be in remission," said Walsh's Aunt Stacie Drummond. "We are all so relieved. It feels like we can finally breath again."
Walsh had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called neuroblastoma only two weeks after he was born on October 14.
Drummond said an MIBG scan last Friday showed that all the neuroblastoma cells in Jackson's body were dead. Walsh's parents Tara and Ryan posted the good news to Facebook — where Jackson has gained quite the following — and the reaction was pure joy.
"Jackson I'm so happy I'm crying for you," wrote Lisa Higham from Salt Lake City, Utah.
"Jackson is certain to do great things on this earth as God really wanted him here!" added Laura Runge from Dallas, Texas.
Tara Walsh has used the following her son has gained to launch the JacksonStrong Foundation, which will raise money to help other families dealing with pediatric cancer.
On March 11, the Fair Lawn Knights of Columbus will be holding a fundraiser for the JacksonStrong Foundation.
Drummond said her nephew's battle with cancer has given her a new outlook on life.
"Watching Jackson fight every day changed my perspective," Walsh said. "Everyday we worry over little things and then you see this three month old getting chemo and it breaks your heart."
