Palisades Virtuosi Comes To Fair Lawn

FAIR LAWN, N.J. – Palisades Virtuosi will perform “Finding Our Voice: A Century of American Music” at 8 p.m. Friday at the Fair Lawn Community Center George Frey Center for Arts and Recreation.

The evening of music will tell the story of how American music grew from European tradition to find its own unique voice. The concert will include works by Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Charles Griffes, John Jay Hewitt, Charles Ives, Joseph Lamb, Horatio Parker and John Phillip Sousa. Featured commissioned composer is Gary William Friedman, who has written a new trio for Palisades Virtuosi entitled "Reflections."

A 7:15 p.m. pre-concert talk will be held with the artists and composer. A reception will follow the concert.

Adult tickets are $20 ($25 at the door), $15 for students and senior citizens ($20 at the door) and $10 for children under 12. Purchase tickets here.
