FAIR LAWN, N.J.– Fair Lawn's Memorial Pool re-opened for the summer on Friday.
With afternoon temperatures in the 80s, roughly 100 people were on the beach or in the water, Director Scott Homa said.
Another 100 or more had signed up for memberships by the early afternoon, he said.
The facility is open to residents of Fair Lawn, Saddle Brook, Elmwood Park, Prospect Park, Haledon and Woodland Park.
A new logo for the pool was introduced, featuring a beach ball for the "o" in the name. Banners were installed along Berdan Avenue and snack stands at the pool.
Water fountains were replaced and the bathrooms were upgraded, Homa added.
