The legendary Italian actress' legal team sent a letter to Brooklyn Square Pizza, which has locations in Jackson, Manalapan and Toms River, ordering them to change the name of their "Sophia Loren Pizza," which has fresh mozzarella, fresh slices tomatoes, and fresh garlic on a round sesame seed crust pie

The letter, from an attorney representing the Oscar winning actress, claims she owns the trademarks to her name, including for services providing food and drink.

"By using Ms. Loren's name and Trademark without her consent, you may mislead the consuming public into believing that Ms. Loren endorses your restaurant, or at a minimum, has approved the use of her name and Trademark in connection with an item on your menu," the letter from Laura Goldbarg George, Loren's attorney, reads.. "Your appropriation of Ms. Loren's name deprives Ms. Loren of her personal right to control the commercial use of her name."

Brooklyn Square Pizza complied and changed the named to the Susan Grippo pizza, the wife of owner Peter Grippo.

"I love this pie as much as I love her," Peter Grippo wrote on Facebook.

Susan Grippo appeared to be taking the pizza kerfuffle in stride.

"Finally lol It only took me 25 years to get a pie named after me and this is why," she wrote on Facebook.🤦‍♀️😂😂 "The 'Susan Grippo' Pie for the Win."
