Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary Needs Sponsors For New Year's Day 5K

FAIR LAWN, N.J. — Sponsors are needed for the First Day 5K New Year’s race sponsored by the Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary Club.

For the past 13 years, the event has raised money for a number of local charities and has become the premier New Year’s race in the area. Last year, there were more than 500 participants.

Any support a sponsor offers the race will be highly visible, not only to the race participants but also among the many dozens of local volunteers who work to make the race a success.

In the past, 100 percent of the race proceeds have benefited local charities, such as:

  • Fair Lawn All Sports
  • Fair Lawn Concert in the Park
  • Fair Lawn Fire Department
  • Fair Lawn Rescue Squad
  • Fair Lawn Police Department
  • Fair Lawn Senior Center
  • Fair Lawn Adopt a Park
  • Fair Lawn Club Fun
  • Fair Lawn Boy Scouts
  • FLHS Interact Club
  • SBHS Interact Club
  • RYLA Disaster Relief
  • Special Needs Projects
  • FLASE
  • Fair Lawn River Walk
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Rotary Gift of Life

There are four levels of sponsorship available, including Booster ($50), Silver ($200), Gold ($350) and Platinum ($1,250). In-kind donations also are welcome (refreshments, gift certificates, giveaway items, etc.). The Rotary will give recognition consistent with the value of the sponsorship level.
