Newark police are asking the public's help identifying the person (pictured) in connection with a robbery Wednesday. 

A man was near Garside Street and 4th Avenue talking on his cell phone around 11 a.m. when the suspect approached and punched him, taking a gold chain from his neck. The suspect was last seen running east on 4th Avenue. 

He is described as in his early 20s, 6' and 175 lbs. with black hair. He was wearing a blue shirt and black shorts.
