Newark Police Looking For Shooter Who Wounded Man During Fight

The Newark Police Division has issued an arrest warrant for a 27-year-old city man who shot and wounded another man Friday.

Police were called to the 100 block of 1st Street around 6:20 p.m. on a report of a shooting. They victim was taken to University Hospital for treatment and released. 

The man had been quarreling with Faquir "Poppi" Parish (pictured) and was last seen heading south on 1st Street, police said. He has been charged with aggravated assault and weapons offenses. 

He is described as 6', 150 lbs. with a medium brown complexion, black hair and brown eyes.
