Heroes: Firefighters Revive Baby Brought To Station In Woman's Arms

Firefighters jumped into action to save a baby that had stopped breathing Wednesday morning.

A frantic woman desperate for help showed up to the fire station at 87 Elm Road (Engine 27, Ladder 4) around 11:10 a.m., holding the baby who had turned purple, a city spokesperson said.

Firefighters immediately administered oxygen, and the child began to breathe again.

The baby was taken in an ambulance to a local hospital for further treatment.

It was not clear why the child stopped breathing.
