Free Veterinary Services Available For Newark Dog-Owners

Residents of Newark who own dogs are eligible for free and reduced-costs veterinary services provided by a Hillside animal hospital on a first-come, first-served basis.

People for Animals, 401 Hillside Ave., is offering free microchipping, rabies vaccinations and distemper vaccinations.

People for Animals is also offering discounted spay and neuter services: $60 for male dogs under 65 lbs., $80 for males over 65 lbs; and $70 for females under 65 lbs and $90 for females over 65 lbs.

Registration is required and dogs must be leashed. Proof of Newark residency is also required.
