The 22-story building at the crossroads of Routes 17 and 287 came down in a dramatic implosion Saturday morning, May 10. The demolition was captured by video by Shell Huber and shared with Daily Voice (below).
The Township of Mahwah shared its own video of the implosion.
The hotel hosted many a wedding, brunch and holiday party. The demolition was bittersweet for many residents in the area.
"Our beacon in the sky will be gone," one said on Facebook.
The developer has not submitted site plans as of press time.
