Borough police who responded to a 7 p.m. call of a suicidal registered gun owner in the northwest part of town couldn’t make contact with him, Capt. Michael deMoncada said this morning.
“A perimeter was set up around the house and neighbors were advised to stay inside until police could determine the area was safe,” deMoncada said.
The Tenafly Police Emergency Response Team entered the home at 9:30 p.m. and found his body, the captain said.
The weapon was recovered.
